Prof. Josef Voglmeir is interested in applying novel glycoenzymes in biotechnology, food science, and analytics. He joined Nanjing Agricultural University in 2012 and is co-founder and director of the GGBRC. More info....
Prof. Liu Li joined Nanjing Agriculture University in 2012 and is a Co-founder of the GGBRC. Her research interests include the role of protein-linked carbohydrates in nutrition and their interaction with bacteria. More info....

The GGBRC was established to provide an interface between carbohydrate related research groups at Nanjing Agricultural University. The interdisciplinary nature of carbohydrate research science (from basic biochemical disciplines to the investigation of the biological role of glycoconjugates) and the need for analytical technologies (such as mass spectrometry, NMR or robotic screening methods) requires multi-skilled approaches performed by research teams of critical mass. The GGBRC is specifically designed and organized to provide analytical services and training for its member teams and for carbohydrate scientists nation- and world-wide.
Welcome to the Homepage of the Glycomics and Glycan Bioengineering Research Center. We are a part of the College of Food Science and Technology at Nanjing Agriculture University (NJAU). In addition to the academic training of postgraduate students and fundamental research, the Glycomics and Glycan Bioengineering Research Center also provides analytical and technological services to academic and industrial partners. The emphasis of our work lies in food glycomics and the discovery of glycosylation related biomarkers.
